For all those dog lovers out there (including me), here is a gadget for you and your dog. The Bowlingual Voice, developed by Japanese toy company Takara Tomy, helps a dog in telling its master how it feels. Here's your chance, Cats! Because I am pretty sure not everything a dog feels is best friend material. The gadget can decode if a dog is sad, happy, aware of danger (I bet Lassie wished she had one of these), frustrated, or in need of something (preferably a steak I'm assuming). Basically, you place the collar on the dog, the dog barks, the collar decodes and transmits a signal to the receiver, then the receiver puts in words that we can understand (well, most of us can't, since the invention only speaks Japanese so far) about how the dog is feeling such as "I feel sad" or "Please leave me alone."
What they really need to program into the Bowlingual Voice are these sayings: "I'm hungry, chicken and cupcakes please," "Stop talking to me about your problems. See a shrink," "Yes, I am eating my poop. And I also like sniffing other dogs' behinds. You got a problem with it?," and lastly, "Toilet water just tastes better."This is such a fun invention! I am not sure how accurate it is, but we will probably never know how accurate it is. Plus, most owners would like to know if there is something wrong with their dog and this invention gives a starting point for just that. I will have to fedex this puppy to Pluto with a Japanese to English dictionary. Poor guy has some pent-up feelings he needs to release.
Remember people love their pets, so if you have a pet invention idea, get help in patenting and marketing it. We could be torturing our pets with love using your prototype soon!
